I am currently a full time teacher and a part time photographer but after the Spending Review, who knows? I have been pointing cameras at the landscape for over 40 years,convincing myself that I could make a living as a landscape photographer if I wanted to... But I have to recognize that professional photography means taking pictures that clients will pay for. So I am currently teaching myself (and being trained by a professional) to take portraits and weddings.
And far from finding it an expedient necessity, it have reinvigorated me as a photographer and rekindled my enthusiasm for picking up a camera.
What could be better than taking photographs that make people feel good and which record happy times.
