My main interests are photography, travel and aviation. At these pages you'll get to see some of all that. I've been lucky enough to see something of the world - "unfortunately" most of the photograps taken during my travels are of the pre-digital "silver period". I still hugely enjoy shooting film (black and white and slides mostly) with both top-of-the-line current and old-fashioned camera models.

Please, have a look at these pages and let me know what you think of the photographs posted!

    Joeri van Veen says:

"Bas Stubert is an uncanningly devoted photographer. I know and respect him for his energy and his neverending will to go out and take photographs. Bas Stubert tries to visit as many diverse locations as possible and document them helped by his keen eye on what's happening at a certain moment. I personally admire Bas Stubert for his "natural framing", i.e. use the scene to create a frame around the subject. These points and his love for history and the military characterize his work. The complete portfolio of Bas Stubert contains a mindblowing amount of different locations and subjects; of (historical) (fighter) planes alone he has thousands of slides. I can only urge you to browse Bas Stubert's photographs on flickr to get a taste of his diversity."
