~*~ Is it the photographer's goal to highlight the uniqueness of our world or to point out obvious which is too often overlooked ? Maybe they are the same. ~*~

I am slowly learning and gathering all the stuff a good photographer needs. You know, things like a camera, a flash, and the time off to run around a shoot my brains out. I've always enjoyed photography but it was always a bit cost prohibitive. Now that we've gone digital I don't fear the cost as much, but am in a rather steep learning curve in getting the photo I like from my screen to paper.

I'm currently shooting with a Canon EOS 7D, a Canon Powershot SD950 IS and an HTC Wildfire for the snapshots of life. My primary lenses are my Canon EF-S 55-250mm f/4.0-5.6 IS Telephoto and a Canon EF 28-80mm f/3.5-5.6 II Lens. These seem to cover about 90% of what I like to shoot. I also have a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II which takes great shots but I don't like the inflexibility of the lens. I also have a couple of low end Bower lenses in 500mm and 1300mm which are both fixed aperture lenses and make for some...interesting shots.

Next up I'm going to be delving into some studio type lighting, but that is going to take some finagling as I don't make any money off of this hobby. Yet. Maybe someday, but there are two photographers on every corner these days and I don't intend to go to school for it, but learn as I go. So, que sera!
