I've been interested in photography since high school where I was the photo editor for the school's yearbook. And videography for several years. After acquiring an HD video camera in the winter of 2008, I needed something moving to shoot. Trains came to mind and I've been capturing them ever since, learning both the rail industry a bit and sharpening my video skills.
I've stopped using my DSLR camera since, when shooting stills while the video camera is running, there is often camera noise recorded. Instead, I use a so called "super zoom" camera that does most of what I want without much of the noise.
