I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada, and have been an amateur photographer for about 2 and half years. Currently I work in the hospitality industry, and have the fortune of working in one of the most beautiful old buildings in downtown Vancouver.
My interest in photography really got started when I discovered HDR (yes I can hear all the photography purists gasp and cringe in horror!). Really, I have to give a lot of credit to Trey Ratcliff for inspiring me to pick up a camera and give it a go. I feel that no matter what your personal opinion on HDR is, at least it's getting people into photography and gettig creative, and that's a great thing to have in your life.
Starting out with a Canon T1i, the 18-55mm kit lens, and battered, used and soft-on-the-left-side Sigma 10-20mm, I got the basics under my belt. Desperately wanting to upgrade my lenses, I began looking at other options, and knowing that I didn't want to invest in EF-S lenses for my T1i when one day I would switch to full frame, I broke down and bought a Canon 5D Mark II, along with a nice EF 17-40 mm L and EF 70-300mm to keep it company.
Like almost all other amateur photogtaphers, I would love to develop my passion into a business one day. Ultimately, I dream of becoming a travel and architecture photographer, but I know I have a long way to go still.
With constructive help and tips from the photography community, maybe one day it will come true! Please feel free to add me to your friends list, I will reciprocate!
Thanks for stopping by my photostream and if you got to the end of this, thank you for reading!
