Vijay Singh Bainsla likes nothing more than being in the high mountain wilderness, next to a campfire, listening to the crackling embers at night. For him, this is happiness -- being close to nature, dew-covered flowers, and spider webs when the rosy glow of dawn appears.
Vijay’s romance with photography began when he first held his fathers Click III in his hands. Many afternoons were spent gazing at black & white prints developed at Tak Studio, Jaipur which fuelled his desire to be at the viewfinder side of the lens.
A few years later, his joy knew no bounds when his father bought a Yashica Electro 35, he worked his way through the intense details of photography with no formal training, but the cost of developing & printing was too expensive for a person who was studying at that time hence he did not pursuer it much.
A few years back he bought for himself a Nikon F-80 , a film camera – one of the best investments that time has allowed him to make , later on he moved into the genre of digital photography by upgrading to a Nikon D-80, he swears by the Nikon system of equipments , his work is the outcome of basic kit comprising of:
Nikon D3S
Nikon D80
Nikon F80
Nikkor 50 mm 1.8
Nikkor 18-135 lens
Nikkor 80-400 lens
Nikkor 28-100 lens
Nikkor 70-300 lens
Manfrotto Ball Head Tripod
SB800 Flash
He loves to photograph life , abstract & macro , his work is an interesting blend of life around us, rarely would you find pain & despair in his work , albeit one would find strains of coming to terms with life. He strongly believes that otography is a virtue that allows life to be captured and shared with the future generation, where else can you show others what your eye has seen !”
He has been walking the earth for the past 39 years, he is a marketing professional employed with a telecom firm at present. He supports a family of three comprising of himself, his wife & son. He hails from Rajasthan, India.

Prashant.Bhatnagar says:
"Well, what to write about him. We had only one meeting and he changed my perspective to photography. He is a wonderful person and equally wonderful Lensman, as I could get in a single meeting. Keep up the good work. Best of luck to you."
