The BAG was born in response to an increasing need expressed by people who love the Blues (musicians or not) to find contacts, information, places to meet, to learn, to practise, to listen to the blues and understand the foundations of today's music. The BAG headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland and in line with this international city, the BAG wishes to be open to the world. We want to disseminate information on Blues-related activities that are being held locally in Geneva in Switzerland or neighboring France (Pays de Gex, les Savoies, Ain), globally called the "region" and also worldwide. The BAG aims at spreading news about the Blues, training youngsters and adults, creating links, supporting exchanges between groups in the region, establishing connections between the francophone and Anglophone communities, welcoming well-known and less well-known artists - forerunners of the Blues and young prodigies - from all continents.
