Catch the dream's photostream
|

With the dream of capturing the moments of beauty, with a view to freeze them in frames and in mind, I started photography as a hobby. Now it has become a passion.
Photography keeps me alive. Whenever I feel the world is not right, I go out with my camera and the world gets right instantly. I never thought this art would possess me like this.
To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that mastering an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy. - H.C.B
There are many things in this world which the eye of camera simply can't capture...or captures a little essence of it. I suggest all photographers to learn to see and sense the beauty of living in this fantastic world and not to repent it they can't capture a moment. One person can't capture all the memorable and exceptional moments happening around himself...and there is no need to bring the camera everywhere u go. Before u were born, wonderful things were happening and after your death, they will continue to happen. Just learn to perceive them and see them with depth others don't have. You will see how many of them get captured easily in your camera. Photography is easy and difficult at the same time. I think that's the wonder of this art.
I am a photographer first. So, most of my images are not heavily post processed or made as digital art. They are simply photographs of the world around me. I am on a never ending quest to represent positive Bangladesh throughout the world via Flickr. If this effort can ward off the false negative impression of Bangladesh throughout the world, I'll consider myself successful.
I completed my B.Sc and MS in Microbiology from Department of Microbiology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and now, appointed as a full time lecturer in the same department.
That's a lot about me! Tell me yours, share your view and images with all the photographers including me. I want to thank you in advance for your comments. I can assure you that I read everyone of them, and they are the source of my constant inspiration...

"Couple of months ago someone asked me who was my most favorite photographer from Bangladesh. Few names popped in my mind. I thought hard. At the end just one name remained.
Monir.
As I thought more, I realized that he was my most favorite photographer ever. I have not seen a talent like him in flickr. I have not seen a talent like him anywhere. Everyone else, including past and present greats pale in comparison.
He has not been to wars or to other events of great historical significance. His gears are limited. Yet, his ability to produce brilliant photographs out of nothing is unmatched.
He is simply the best ever.
WOW!"19th December, 2011

Rumboaningures says:
"I admire Catch the dream's work so much. He is probably the most talented photographer on flickr, from my humble point of view; he is not a simple photographer. When I look at his photos, I perceive the atmosphere of Bangladesh, I can feel how is the life there even although I have never been to. He is a historian and storyteller through images because as it has always been said an image is much more powerful than words and that's what he does, he tells us what he sees or feels, his vision of life through those shots always so impressive, so significant. I thank him for all I have learnt from his country and from life in general through his eyes. It is always a pleasure to look at his photostream, he has my favourite photo on flickr too and to see a new photo of him is a great moment in my day, for sure. After all this, as you can imagine, I think you would be completely wrong if you don't have a look at his stream or you don't know his work. It is simply unforgetable."

"What else I can add telling about him and his works. He is a microbiologist, an honest man and of course a great Visualizer. I caught him from Flickr then we suddenly met at BPS in real life. After then, we became very good friend.
His photography has a different taste. He plays with lights, sometimes he plays with dark nights, and sometimes he wonders watching stars in the sky – by that way he catches the dream. Beside all these he is going to have his PhD from abroad.
Let’s wish him all the best."23rd November, 2007

Yep! I’m having all these things together!
He’s one of the photographers of Bangladesh
Whom I envy, follow and respect for his photographic skills.
Hope, we’ll have more and more and MORE
mind blowing, breath taking and
soul touching photographs from him in future
…As we always have and had.
I wish him every success in his life.
