The first exhibition for 2009 was "The Elephant in the Room' - a collaboration of five photographers:

Paul Tait
Janine Matheson
John Goodridge
Harvey Schiller

and myself. The exhibition was held at Urban Cow Studio and ran from April 9 - May 4 2009.

I was involved in two exhibitions for SALA in 2008 -

1) A collaborative with Humna Mustafa:

a photographic journey of Henna across cultures

This was a hugely successful event - an estimated 500 people at the opening night - thank you to all who came to support Humna and me :)

This was the second year we exhibited together - See also 2007 exhibition sites refuge1 and refuge2.

If by looking at my photographs, I can make one person feel something that they might not have previously felt, then this is all I could ever ask from flickr.

My passions in life pivot around the desire to feel, and give feeling to others.

Too many people live in isolation, sometimes physical, but mostly emotional. We all need people to make us complete. Human beings are designed to work best in tandem; not isolation.

The five senses - each of them stimulating the brain into action - are most accute when awakened by another being. The touch of skin on skin, taste a meal cooked with love, sounds of a baby crying, smell of sweat, and the vision of someone suffering in pain...

We should not deny ourselves the basic rights of our senses; feel every pain and every pleasure with an insatiable thirst.

For when you feel "in the raw" is when you are truly alive.
