Axis Experience's photostream  

Does anyone actually read these things?
Well if anyone is curious enough to dig this far, I might as well tell ya a bit about myself.
Yes, Axis Experience is my real name, strange I know, but I've been told I'm a strange guys, so I guess it fits :o)
My family is all through the photo stream, so no need to tell you what you already know.
I teach Martial Arts, and I'm an Artist. Not that I'm making lots of money or having a bunch of shows or anything, but I'm always creating, can't help it, just happens, keeps me sane, so all is good.

I picked up a digital camera a year or so ago to help with my Photoshop creations, and of course like any proud parent I wanted to get a lot of shots of my kid :o) Previously I'd used Photoshop as more of an canvas / art studio, picking up my stylus and creating from scratch. Once I picked up that that first digital camera I started using more and more photographs not just as reference and materials to use in the art, but photography itself started reveal itself to me "art", whatever that it lol.

On Aug 5th 2008 I was able to purchase a Canon EOS 40D with a 17-85mm and a 70-300mm lens. Now the journey really begins, I'm having a great time with the new camera and am learning so much. Lot's of the brain cells are gone by now so it takes a while for me to get a good grasp on all this, but it sure is fun trying.

Seeing as how I don't have to pay for film, I figure if I just keep taking as many shots as possible, law of averages suggests I might luck out and get a nice shot now and again :o)
