I'm a keen photographer of landscapes, storms and nature. Formerly of Melbourne, then 8 years in Tatong, north-eastern Victoria, then 9 months travelling around Australia with my wife in a camper trailer, back to Melbourne and now living in Hobart, Tasmania.

I assist the wonderful Wolgang Glowacki with introductory and intermediate photography courses and also teach one-on-one full day photography courses around the Hobart area. Details can be found on my website.

I took the "one-photo-per-day" challenge in 2007 and 2010 which proved both challenging and rewarding. It certainly kept my "photographic" eyes open for a large part of each day.

I don't think the equipment I use is all that important but here's a list:
Canon 60D, Sigma 10-20mm, Samyang 14mm f2.8, Tamron17-50mm f2.8, Canon 50mm f1.8 II, Canon 55-250, holga pinhole lens, a heavy old Manfrotto tripod, a lightweight Velbon tripod, about 6 remotes, x4 x8 and x400 ND filters. Sony R1, Olympus 850 SW, Canon PowerShot SX110 IS, Canon G3, Samsung F480 phone-camera and a Canon IXUS 500 modified for infrared.
In the film days I used a Pentax K1000 and Spotmatics with various primes and zooms as well as a Rolliecord.
