In an alternate reality I might have become a photojournalist. In this one, however, I've settled for keeping photography as a hobby. My favourite subjects are wildlife, night sky shots and macro images but as I don't have much of a macro lens at the moment and live in a light-polluted city, I do what I can!
I've been taking photos since I was ten and shooting with an SLR since I was 14. I mainly shoot digital now but my older stuff is film, and I may shoot some more film this summer trying to do star trails.
Non-photography hobbies include travel, quilting, spinning, crochet, learning Irish, and I've just started learning to rock climb. Sometimes my photography reflects these interests, and sometimes the subjects are mildly random.
