In RL I am a therapist, working in private practice and hospital Acute Care. In 2006 I joined Second Life, thinking it was going to be a game like the Sims. It ended up becoming a project of the heart - providing mental health resources, education, and support in a virtual environment.
I own Wellness Island and The Counseling Center, and we also publish Wellness magazine, provide workshops in-world on mental health issues, and train in-world peer support specialists. More info at www.slcounseling.org
