After years of shooting with a POS (both meanings, considering the quality of my new dSLR) I've finally decided to take the plunge and get a real camera.

I've been holding out from getting a dSLR for a long time now because I've always thought that the cost/technology hasn't been up to where I've wanted it to be. It hasn't helped that I've been envious of the quality of pictures taken by Dang and more recently Linda's dSLRs,

With the recent announcement of the 500D, with a few key changes coming in, including: HD movie mode and a 3 inch LCD with 920,000 pixels I couldn't hold out anymore and got a friend to buy the camera for me from Singapore.

Looking forward to taking some cool photos of London and my travels...
