Aloha and E Komo Mai (Welcome)!

Photography is like music to me-different notes, instruments and elements all come together at the right time to create beautiful works of art.

What's my style? I try to combine my passion for design, emotion, movement, light and a sense of place to each of my images.

I moved to Maui over 20 years ago and have extensive knowledge of the beaches and how the light plays throughout the day. I especially love the "golden hour" in the evenings and how gently the light highlights my subject's faces.

I have the wonderful opportunity to capture people, places and things at their best every day I go to work and I am blessed with the unique opportunity to be part of milestones in people’s lives. I consider it an honor when someone likes my work and asks me to be part of an important time in their lives. I get to do what I love, people look their best and we all have fun. What’s better than that?

My job as a photographer is about passion meeting vision and having great clients as my subjects! I love what I do!

Last year, I was honored with an invitation to join the team of Teaching Artists at the esteemed Hui No'eau Visual Arts Center on Maui and I currently offer Workshops in Digital Photography, Macro Photography, Studio Lighting and Creative Color Splash Classes.

I was also grateful to be asked to assist and teach alongside world renowned Hawaiian cultural photographer, Randy Jay Braun, at his inaugural and highly successful Tropical Island Boot Camp for Creative Photography last year on Maui.

Spring of 2010 also brought the opportunity to join the award winning cast and snag the coveted "job" as the official Still Photographer for Maui's first motion picture comedy filmed entirely on the island entitled "Get a Job" featuring many of Hawaii's top entertainers and musicians.

My love of international travel started with a trip to England. Since then, I have lived, worked, studied and traveled to 14 countries on 5 continents. Some of my favorite travel experiences included photographing the mountain gorillas in Uganda , living and diving on Palau, living and working with the Carib Indians in Dominica, diving the coast of Sulawesi, living on the island of Kalymnos in Greece, capturing the people and rural life in Ukraine and photographing majestic New Zealand. I have also enjoyed my adventures in Pohnpei, Kosrae, England, France, Australia, Vietnam, Thailand and Ukraine.

As a Maui concert photographer for the Maui Arts and Cultural Center, I have had the honor to capture musical icons including many musical legends including:
Elton John
Jimmy Buffet
Damian Marley
The Doobie Brothers
Willie Nelson
Peter Frampton
Bruno Mars
Aerosmith

My husband and I currently enjoy island life living on the slopes of Haleakala volcano on Maui.
