Hi. I am a freelance technical writer, and I take photos in my spare time.

My photo equipment:
+ Nikon D40X
+ Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G AF-S
+ Sigma 18-200 f/3.5-6.3 DC OS
+ Nikon Speedlight SB-600
+ Fancier FT 66-2 tripod (ball-head)
+ BlackRapid strap
+ homemade lightbox.

I take photos of my trips around Thailand, and other countries when I am lucky enough to travel.

I built a cheap lightbox, and I like to take product-type shots of ordinary objects around the house.

I don't have a creative impulse, which is maybe why I am a technical writer and not a best-selling fiction writer. I tend to present images just as I see them in reality.

I do some post-processing, but mainly just straightening and contrast. It makes me sad when I see wonky horizons. I try to follow the philosophy of getting it right in-camera.

Outside of writing and photography, I like to read science fiction (PKD, Pohl, Asimov, Clarke, Scalzi), and I like to collect stamps. My topic is Thailand (country collector).

I like to document things, and I am slowly adding my stamp collection and my book collection to my Flickr collection.
