Built in 1717, I am the oldest building in central Liverpool.

Occupied by artists since 1907, I'm also the oldest arts centre in the UK.

But don't be fooled into thinking that must make me antiquated and set in my ways... Since re-opening in March 2008 with a shiny new wing of galleries and performance spaces, I am as youthful and spritely as ever.

I'm still the place to experience up-and-coming artists, writers, musicians, dancers and performers. And my garden is still the place to eat your sandwiches.
