Whales are extremely vocal. To learn about cooperative feeding, we are interested in how the whales communicate. We believe the whales give off a feeding call-- a long, low sound that serves to confuse the prey and is indicative of a cooperative feeding group....Entire shoals of herring spontaneously disappear within seconds and the group stops feeding for a while and searches for still waters to rest.

You see, I knew her long before anyone, except God, of course. I felt her first movement, heard her first laugh, and shared tears with her first cry. I chose her name- (Saw a billboard on a highway that said "Taylor Red." I said, "I like that name." Not thinking it was a liquor bottle. Details...details.) I also like her photography- she sees things through a camera in a way that most don't. I would like to see a pic of her standing next to a Taylor Red sign. How fun! But I'm writing here to say I am so proud of the young woman she has become, and honey, " I love YOU very much!"
