I have always had an interest in photography. When I was very young I flipped through photography books and read up on all the technical intricacies involved such as focal lengths, aperture, shutter speeds, film speed and grain, colour temperatures, and darkroom processing techniques.

Until recently I had been getting my with low quality digital cameras. When my dad made me an offer to help with the purchase of a new digital camera I leapt at the opportunity.

Now I am the very proud owner of a brand new Canon 40D with the EF-S 17-85 4-5.6 EF 24-105 L IS USM lens. Now begins the hunt for the best lens in existence, and all the accessories you can buy.

I will try and post pictures here as often as I can. You will probably see my skill improve as I learn how to operate the camera and obtain the shots I envisage in my minds eye.
