Nancy is the founder of the Center for Holistic Medicine. She has a Master's degree in Chinese Medicine and is a member of the first class to graduate from Daoist Traditions, Asheville's College of the Chinese Medical Arts. She has been practicing medicine since 2001 when she received her Certification in Western Herbal Medicine from Sage Mountain, Rosemary Gladstar's school in Vermont. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, and carries a License to Practice Medicine from the North Carolina Acupuncture Licensing Board. Before she studied medicine she obtained a Master's degree in Philosophy, with a concentration in Asian Philosophy and Medical Ethics. Nancy has experience with a wide variety of conditions and is dedicated to helping her patients with the full spectrum of medical complaints. As a violinist and jeweler, she has a very sensitive hand, allowing for the gentlest needle sensation possible. Nancy is also a teacher at the Appalachia School of Holistic Herbalism and the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) and donates a portion of her services through Project Access.
