Thirteen non-profit cultural organizations of Toledo, Ohio, have partnered to host a family festival, Arts Gone Wild, at the Toledo Zoo, Friday, August 8, through Monday, August 11, 2008.

Created to celebrate Toledo’s artistic instincts, Arts Gone Wild combines performances, exhibitions, activities, and more to introduce residents and visitors to Toledo’s wealth of cultural experiences and opportunities. A dedicated Web site has been launched at www.artsgonewild.org allowing Web visitors to sign up for Arts Gone Wild e-mail updates and schedule announcements.

Each day of Arts Gone Wild features, from NOON to 4 P.M.:
*Performances by the Toledo Ballet, the Toledo Opera, the Toledo Repertoire Theatre, and the Toledo Symphony
*Musical performances by Toledo School for the Arts students
*Hands-on art activities and artist demonstrations from the Toledo Museum of Art
*Nature talks led by the Metroparks
*Storytelling and puppet shows by the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library
