A brief bio: I've been exhibiting for over 20 years now, in galleries, museums, foundations, universities and alternative art spaces. I usually characterize what I do as multi-media/multi-disciplinary art, or 4D art, utilizing traditional and new media. I've done innovative work in digital print and animation, photography, installation, video(projected, monitor- and web-based) and more. The foundation of everything I do as an artist is painting and drawing. I also have done much work as Lead Artist of collectives. I'm very much dedicated to community art. I've also worked in lots of art-related, arts advocate roles: writing, hosting radio shows, teaching, etc.
In the Spring of 2006 I enrolled in the MFA course at Claremont Graduate University, just outside LA. It's a terrific program with a proud history, mostly known for producing some great contemporary painting. I'm utilizing my time here to establish a solid foundation for the next twenty years of my practice. So far, it's been a tremendous experience. I'm not planning on solo-exhibiting again until I complete my Masters exhibit next Fall. However, I'm interested in discussing with qualified professionals my exhibit program for 2008 and 09, as well as the kind of artwork I'm developing for the next stage of my career. To
summarize, I'm producing several series of digital prints; a series of digital animations with soundtracks for the screen, monitor and web; several series of photographs; a series of videos; several series of paintings (large and small); a series of lightboxes; a few sculptural works; and two books...plus more.
Please let me know if you'd like a package from me. We can do most of it via e-mail to start with (CV, statement, images) and follow up with whatever else. I have many images I can share with you, so if you have any preferences (installations, animations, digital images, paintings, photos), just let me know. If you'd like, I can also send you things in CD or DVD formats, or in more traditional media (slides, hard copies). Just let me know what you prefer.
I'll attach a couple images of current work as a reference, and here are a couple of links to things on the web.

I helped establish a visual arts magazine in Austin, Texas last spring called "Cantanker". I continue to submit essays, reviews and musings for Cantanker's print and online publications. You can take a look at:

I'm pasting my CV below, which also gives some background on collectives I've served.
Looking forward to your response,

ABOUT ART FOR HUMANS AND THE JOURNEYMAN PROJECT
Art for Humans is the fifth manifestation of the 4D aesthetic. The first was the Regional Standard Arts Project (Santa Fe 1993-4), an artist-owned and -operated gallery and arts nexus, which at its peak exhibited the work of nearly one hundred quality Santa Fe-based artists and artisans. The second manifestation took form in three radio programs: Art Talk, ArtWaves (Santa Fe), and ArtRadio (Nashville). Artist-interviewees included Richard Tuttle, Frank Stella, Stephen Antanakos, Elias Rivera, the Vogels, Bob Wade, Terry Allen, Ron Robles, Richard Haas, and hundreds of others. The third and forth emergence of the 4D aesthetic were the artist assemblages DddD and 01 (See below).
Art for Humans is an Internet-based vehicle for the creator, created and creative. Artforhumans.com was launched in a working beta stage in July of 2002, after eight months of design and planning. The infrastructure of the online project consists of Galleries, Culture (Magazine and Village), Store, Archives and Links. The concept of art without walls and borders is the foundation for this iteration of 4D aesthetic. Upon this foundation we are constructing a vision of the artist as contemporary journeyman. The artistic collaboration is rooted in the notion of the travelling band, building on ideas of multi-disciplinary configurations of artists drawn from a model established in the folk music tradition, as put forth and proven by DddD.
We hope to produce and document a series of residencies, workshops, lectures, exhibitions, installations and exhibitions around the world, guided by 4D aesthetic principles and called The Journeyman Project.
We will structure these productions based on models established and then refined through implementation over the past decade in past 4D forms. The first occurred in the Spring 2003, through the Morris Graves Foundation and The Ink People Center for the Arts in Northern California.
ABOUT DDDD AND 01
O1 is an organic assemblage of accomplished creative individuals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, brought together by lead artist Paul McLean. The focus of 01 has been the sharpening of perception (formula: art>life>life>) through the technology/media of
communication and culture. The formal approach of 01 involves the presentation of a multi-layered, multi-disciplinary exploration of a facet of human experience (like birth, death, conflict, storytelling, etc.). The presentation is intended to provide the viewer, whatever his or her level of visual literacy, with a compelling and encompassing sensory experience. 01 is the second phase of collective
aesthetic investigation undertaken by McLean. In 1999, McLean and Donald Ashworth Cox III (National Science Foundation) established DDDD, an experimental commingling of the methods and ideas of the Arts
and Sciences. The experiment began with the various definitions of the 4th Dimension and has continued to expand the scope of its "investigations", since then. DDDD has worked solely within the context of the gallery and museum, while 01 has also produced work for
alternative art spaces. Participating artists in both 01 and DDDD are given as much freedom as possible to pursue personal aesthetic responses to the basic human condition addressed in a given exhibit concept. The conceptual patron saint of the 01/DDDD approach is Marshall McLuhan.
