I am a Canadian representational artist. I paint with acrylics on canvas. I use thin layers or thick textural strokes of paint. I also create digital paintings using traditional oil painting techniques. I use virtual brushes and paint. My paintings are influenced by my love of colour. When I paint I try to capture the excitement of colour in light, shadow and atmosphere. My paintings are also influenced by my knowledge of abstract design principles. My paintings are in private collections in Canada and the U.S.

I have taken courses at university and art schools. I read many art magazines and books. I study the work of other artists. I am a lifelong art student.
