The idea of Art Moves Festival is presentation and popularization of art on billboards and the exchange of experiences concerning actions in the public area and also visual aspects showing up-to-date culture.

The authors of Art Moves are convinced, that art is something very important for the modern human and can be a perfect resonance box, which induces vibrations in the human brain, that can throw off the shackles of routine and show new tracks of reality. If you are looking carefully at the surroundings, you can come to a sad conclusion, that a contemporary human lost somewore in this complicated mechanism which is contemporary civilization. Humanity has become numb, has got stuck, but every living organism needs movement! Maybe art can pull the human race out from stupor?

Within our Festival we show art works on billboards and mega-billboards in the city space, arrange meetings with artists, curators and theorists (dealing with consideration of contemporary culture and visuality), presentations of projects and documentations of actions in the public domain.

We would like to create the place, where in the free atmosphere of our beautiful city you can share knowledge and exchange experiences about actions in visual space. Because artistic actions in public space have become more and more popular, we would like our Festival to be a point where you can exchange new ideas, a field of experimental actions,
a link between various projects and forms of outdoor expression.

The first edition of our Festival was in 2008, it is a periodic event.

Galeria Rusz/Rusz Foundation is the initiator and organizer of Art Moves Festival.
