I've been taking pictures since I was 9 years old, started with an old Brownie Kodak. Photography has always been a kind of obsession with me, everything looks like a picture to me! My husband drives a truck, and I enjoy riding with him, and the photo opportunities I get, as we travel about the country. I've had a few photography classes, but I don't tend to think too much about the technical stuff, I just take pictures of what I like! Still, I am always trying to get better pictures. My camera is a point and shoot, so I have to deal with all the problems it presents, however I loved going digital...it lets me take a lot more pictures then I have ever been able to before.

I was always taught to try to avoid power lines, power poles, etc, however I find that they are everywhere. So I embrace the lines, the poles,and the roads, and find they work very well in my pictures! The trucking world is new to me, and I enjoy capturing my new experiences, it is a world that only the truckers see, and I believe that the rest of the world should get to see it too!

Sometimes I am gone for a while, riding with my husband, but don't give up on me, I'll be back! I am enjoying Flickr very much, there are so many nice people here! I am trying to keep up with everyone and everything, but forgive me if I'm a bit slow...I promise that I haven't overlooked or forgotten you!

I have many pictures that I have taken throughout my life, and I plan to gradually post past pictures, some will be scanned film photos. They will probably not be in any kind of order...but I hope they will be of some interest to all of you!

UPDATE: May 13, 2009, I finally got a DSLR, a Nikon D40. I am so excited! I have lots to learn, but I am already loving the upgrade...being able to take a picture, without waiting for that "shutter lag" is a HUGE difference! (Now I just need a few lenses... : )
