Kooky gay guy bookworm in San Francisco with a dog, a bunch of fish and frogs, and a house full of curiosities. Fascinated by history, loathe ideology, view religion as the root of all evil. I hold a Ph.D. in South and Southeast Asian Studies, focused on premodern Malay Muslim chronicles.
I have two cameras ... a Lumix DMC-TZ5 which I call my belt camera because I wear it on my belt wherever I go ... and a Lumix DMC-FZ50 which I use for special events and candid people head shots.
I have a blog called arod in san francisco where I ramble on about all manner of things ... whatever comes to mind. And I have a Paris slide show that some may find interesting.
