I grew up in Boulder, Colorado. Landscapes such as the Rocky Mountains and Mesa Verde inspired me to pursue visual art as early as preschool. After moving to California in '84, I enrolled in architecture, sculpture, mixed-media, and illustration courses -- and finished my fine art education at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Engaging in various mediums including color pencil, ceramics, photography, and multimedia painting, I earned a BFA (with an emphasis in oil painting) and BA in psychology in 1996. I've been an active artist ever since, featuring predominantly abstract oil paintings, and landscape oil paintings, in various venues in the San Francisco Bay Area.
