I am not much of a photographer. Frankly I don´t know anything about it. I don´t care.

I like moments. Sometimes I try to catch and preserve them, like Dr Faustus: "Verweile doch, Du bist so schön" - pretty silly, huh?

I also love details, always loved them.

My equipment started with a Casio Exilim Z110 and a Nokia 6280 cellphone with a 2 megapixel camera and a really bad lense. I upgraded to a Nokia 6500 slide and recently to a Nokia 6700 slide and bought a Leica D-Lux 2 as an occasion some time ago. The Leica still gives me headaches sometimes: So many options, so many buttons, such a huge manual full of technical terms I never heard before or never bothered about...

A few friends - there are only few friends anyway - tried to convince me I had "an eye", what ever that means. Thery`re flattering or just compassionate maybe.

So anyway, here I am.

Oh, and since somebody wanted to know: I´m 56 right now.

Edit: Okayokay, I did *somewhat* improve my skills possibly. I bought a book "Digital Photography for Dummies", and I found the manual of my Casio again. One time I may even find the time and be in the mood to read both of them.
