Our main branch is located in the not-so-sleepy regional cultural hub of Athens, GA. Athens is home to the University of Georgia as well as such other notable cultural entities as R.E.M, Neutral Milk Hotel, The B-52's, Widespread Panic and Of Montreal. As such, the ARLS serves an invigorating mix of information seekers including professional researchers, educators, students, gadabouts and rock stars.

The Athens Regional Library System is a PINES participating library with collection of roughly 390,000 items including 4,200 Spanish language titles. We host a variety of popular enrichment activities, including a weekly independent film series, monthly book discussion groups as well as full range of programming from both our Young Adult and Children's departments.
