Short introduction:
Ive been interested in Photography since the early 1970's (120-film and home lab!), but actually didn't own a camera until 1999.
Overall autodidact, curious, prone to experiment...
I've been all digital in recent years, though I have had the opportunity to do chemical/analogue work earlier - and now back using it again.

Current equipment:
In May 2010 I bought a Nikon F100 with an MB-15 (review), it uses the same lenses as my other cameras, though vignetting occurs with the Nikkor DX/Sigma DC lenses.
I do my own film development - recipes and methods are described here, currently.

Nikon D300, Nikkor 80-200/2.8 AF-D ED (ring zoom) appears likely to have been made in Japan 2004-07 for the US, 35-70/2.8D AF probably made in Sep/Oct 2002 in Japan - review by KR, DX 16-85/3.5 VR, 70-300/3.5 VR, Sigma 30/1.4 EX DC HSM, AF 28/2.8, Kenko extension rings for macro. Some other additional gear for macro, filters and cleaning.

Also, in use by other family members: Nikon/Nikkor D40x, DX 18-55, DX 55-200 VR

Currently borrowed: Nikkor 50/1.8D, Sigma 180/3.5 MACRO EX IF HSM
Earlier borrowed: Sigma 10-20/3.5-... DC HSM

My Camera History disregarding early film based cameras.

Post processing gets done in almost any package (software) that i can get hold of.
I shoot most of my pictures in Nikon 12-bit NEF format, uploads are JPG, 3 megapixel (1400x2100 pixels) - size reduction from there is by flickr software. "LOBB" are 1024 pixels wide, 700-ish high.
From Dec 24, 2009 also on a calibrated screen (D65, gamma 2.4 - as provided by Pantone Huey Pro).
Images uploaded to flickr on dates after Aug 24, 2009 (until the image "My new workmate") has been post-corrected using Picnic.

Please note that a I use a calibrated display, by means of a Pantone Huey Pro.
The settings include "D65" (6500 Kelvin color temp, i.e. white balance) and "gamma 2.4" (determines contrast), in many cases viewing at 2.2 is OK, but not always.
With these settings applied to YOUR display, you will see the images the way that I created them.

View on black, L.O.B.B. and all that
Many of my pictures have a "Black Magic" link, which makes it possible to view the image in black or gray backgound in a bigger size - depending on your own preferences. To enable Blackmagic for your images; Real simple use, just add
