I would like to let everyone know a little bit about me. I am first and foremost a mom, then a loving wife, and then a little bit of everything. I have two incredible little boys and an amazing husband.

I am formally a software engineer and work full time for a company in Columbia, IL. I have always been interested in art and fashion from an early age.

I have always been behind the camera. During family vacations, I was the one who was always taking pictures and finding any way to convince my dad to buy bigger and better cameras.

I started getting behind the shutter for real soon after my oldest son was born. I had discovered micro stock and decided to try my hand at it. What started as a little experiment soon became an obsession. I started reading every book I could get my hands on and with my trusty D100 and some DIY gear I clicked that shutter as fast as it could go.

Now, I am a true believer in the Strobist way. I recently rigged myself up with a strobist kit and have been dabbling with studio lighting, although natural, outdoor light is still my preferred.

I have also been EXTREMELY fortunate to be part of a brand new spa opening in Columbia, IL called Mist Spa. I work as the Art & Marketing Director and have done all of the photography as well as all of the marketing, advertisements, and artwork. I designed and programmed the website, www.mist-spa.com
