I'm a 50-something boomer who survived the sixties intact. Some of my buddies and I went to Woodstock... the original one! We had no idea what we were going to see or who was going to be there. But let me tell you... The Star-Spangled Banner being played by Jimi Hendrix on Monday morning was unforgettable. The sixties totally influenced who I am today. The interests that were cultivated during that time are still part of me today. I love nature. I enjoy hiking and exploring. As you can see on my photostream, most of the pictures are nature scenes. I still listen to the music of the sixties. I enjoy most musical genres, but classic rock and roll is still my fave. I began my artistic career in the sixties. While most of the other kids in high school were taking written notes, I was doodling. For a while the teachers thought I was just goofing off and not paying attention until I convinced them that my doodles were actually notes of their classes. I still do that. When I'm in a meeting I'll be doodling, drawing visuals of the important stuff... and if it's a slideshow presentation, I'll have my camera out taking pictures of the screen [no flash of course] as a way of taking notes. I'm a career artist/graphic designer and have been for the last 39 years.... and.... I love taking pictures... lots of pictures.

I'm trying something different with my uploads. Flickr is so addictive that I could spend way too much time online, so I am uploading my daily photos and captions by email, then I log onto Flickr once in the evening [when it's not so busy] to visit and comment on everyone's images. It's working really well so far.
