Misty has been around horses all of her life. She spent nearly four years working in Germany and Canada with internationally recognized classical dressage trainers, including Crystal Kroetch and Catherine Haddad, a student of Willi Schultheis. Misty has successfully shown at the FEI level and is currently showing Dolce Vita Prix St. George in USDF Region IV.

Areté Equestrian is located in Piedmont, South Dakota, in the beautiful Black Hills, an easy 20 minute drive from Rapid City. Misty has been running Areté Equestrian for nearly two years and has helped her clients fulfill their dressage and equestrian aspirations as well as assisting in finding the right horses to fulfill their dreams.

With a strong background as a western rider, Misty's dressage résumé includes clinics with Michael Beining, Alexa Schulten-Baumer, Mariel Barnett, Vince Carovillano, Belinda Trussel, Charles De Kunnfy, and Karl Mikolka. Most of all Misty strives to train in a way that enhances communication between horse and rider. She believe that the foundations of dressage are applicable to any breed of horse and all levels of riders. Her goal is to maximize your talent and increase your passion in the art of dressage.
