Just trying to give a little something back to the Flickr community in thanks for all the great evenings I've spent wandering through your wonderful and, yes, occasionally bizarre, lives. There are simply so many talented people out there -- compromise a little where unavoidable but never give in. The French have a verb 'flaner' which, I think, covers this nicely. If there's a common thread to these photos I don't know what it is.

Comments are always welcome!

I'm 56 (2011) and currently live in Toronto. Cameras I've had over the years include:

Minolta XE 5 (stolen Toronto)
Nikon 601 (stolen Calcutta)
Nikon F70 (sold)
Nikon F80
Nikon D80
Nikon Coolpix 5400 (stolen Toronto)
Nikon Coolpix 8400 (given to a very good home)
Nikon Coolpix P5100

Regarding the cameras stolen over the years, I don't think I've been especially careless (except in Calcutta -- OK, so he wasn't a member of the Nepali royal family. How was I to know?) but it can be a jungle out there.

For film scans I use a Konica Minolta DiMage Scan Elite 5400 II and prints a Canon CanoScan 9000F. The Minolta scanner was a victim of Minolta's takeover by Sony. Film scanners seem to be an endangered species these days.
