Colonel Blink says:
"A long time ago Archimandrill would publish no photos and I wrote him a testimonial in tribute. The planet spins around the sun a couple of times and now he does post photographs and they are really quite good and I hate him because of it.
At least it all proves that when he says in his profile "I dont have the faintest idea what I`m doing." he is telling the simple unadorned truth.
What I originally wrote was "The statement that Archimandrill is a minimalist is an over wordy statement about someone who has taken the phrase Less Is More and turned it into Less Is Less.
His work to date (17th May, 2006) some would argue is over-cropped resulting in photographs that appear to be minature to the point of non-existance. Such nay-sayers are missing the point; Archimandrill's work is about possibility.
To such untrained eyes Archimandrill has produced no photographs whereas in reality he presents the viewer with the canvas on which to place the photographs of our dreams.
In this the only artist comparable to him is the composer John Cage who in his most notorious work titled 4' 33" presented us with four minutes and thirty three seconds of silence. Archimandrill one suspects would find this piece both too long and too full of unnecessary clutter.""17th January, 2007
