My intent here is to have fun and try to learn and keep up with technology.
There's soooo much to learn....

But none of this learning is "work". On the contrary, it's all "play". I could shoot for 18 hours straight and every minute of it would be fun. So if you ever leave a comment saying "nice work," I probably won't comprehend your meaning. ;-)

I shoot film and digital. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye (620), my second was a Yashica 44 TLR (127) and my third was a Graflex Super Speed 4x5 press camera (courtesy of the USAF). My first 35mm camera was a Canon FT/QL SLR. About 15 film cameras in various formats now compete for my time but it's getting harder and harder to use them all equally.

There are now two digital cameras in my bag (excluding my cameraphone) -- a Canon PowerShot S5 IS (since March 2008) and a Panasonic DMC-LX5 (since March 2011). Their predecessor, a Canon S500 died in 2010. I plan on getting a dSLR sometime in the next six months.

Mostly, I just photograph found objects, subjects or scenes -- as opposed to trying to illustrate concepts.
