I’m an amateur artists and photographer living in and loving Cape Town, South Africa.

As an artists in South Africa I despair at the copious amounts of conceptual, dreary, political, though provoking, morbid, depressing art that seems to make up the bulk of the SA art scene. For me Art should be a celebration, it does not matter what the celebrate is, be it: beauty, elegance, form, shape, texture, love, intimacy, romance, joy… it is still something to celebrate in art. I know another large field of SA art is for the tourist industry, but I don’t find much interesting in seeing another coppery depiction of the Big Five. In my darkest moods I might stray a little but even then I hope to keep something of beauty in my work.

Photography is relatively new to me and many of my decent photos are hit or miss. I was lucky enough to be coerced by one of my art models into doing a photo shoot with her. As a result of this lovely, and terrifying, experience I have discovered my love of working with models and I really must thank all my models for being so brave and patient with me, and especially for coming to me with so many great and interesting ideas.

My OLD camera was nothing especially interesting, 4 Mega pixels and an optical zoom of up to 12x.

My Current Camera is a Canon 500D.
