I love to take pictures…almost as much as I love the outdoors. Actually the two go quite well together.

I have always had a camera in my hand and when I moved to the Pacific Northwest 20 years ago, I found out what true beauty was. It was here that I found my love for hiking and the outdoors, and always bringing my camera with me felt completely natural.

When I am not trying to find a new place to explore, my two most important roles are mom and wife. My family is my life but they all know that when the clouds part even slightly mom will either be dragging them somewhere amazing, or off solo taking pictures.

I am so glad I found Flickr. There aren’t many people who can really appreciate a great nature photo. Waking up in the morning and reading positive feedback about a photograph you are passionate about is an amazing feeling. You can really grow as a photographer being amongst so many talented people. I am in daily awe of the amazing photographers here.
