Australian, living in Paris again.

I'm a reader in English and French, a good shopper (particularly in brocantes and antique fairs), a traveller, a cook, and an art, food and wine lover. I like politics, enjoy art in galeries and museums, am a member of the Paris rugby club (Stade Français), I draw and paint in watercolour - and I take pictures.

My camera is small enough to live in my bag, so I can catch the big events and small details of life and travel. I like capturing the layers of building detail in Paris, and have a particular love of glass and water reflections, which can produce wonderful, even abstract images. I also enjoy landscapes and people and animal pictures. Another interest is where politics and art intersect - ripped, faded, graffiti-ed and collaged political posters!

My camera is small and my photos have a few IPhoto tweaks and maybe some cropping. I like a photo to be a photo. Computer-generated images can be interesting, but for me they're something else.

I try to keep a relatively small, very selective photostream, so I delete about as many pictures as I add. What you will see here changes over time as images come and go. I've been very happy that many of my photos have been in Explore - with all its faults, that is where I like to be.

As you can see, Paris is a wonderful place for me!

Unfortunately, one of my most popular photos has been stolen by another Flickr user (reported to Yahoo). and at least one other picture has been used without my consent. I hold all rights to my pictures. If you want to use them just ask me and I may agree. If you steal, I will report you. I really enjoy my time on Flickr - it's sad that some people use it to steal other people's images!

I've been sorting through my contacts and dropping those who haven't commented on my stream in a long time. Thanks if you make me a contact but I am only interested in regular visitors and commenters.
