I am constantly learning something, whether it is about God, about myself, or about an interest I am pursuing. It is my husband who is my greatest influence for learning, as he has taught me that one is never too old to stop 'growing up'.

I love to cook, sew, take pictures and edit them, and go on road trips with my husband. Some of my other interests are gender communication, Biblical womanhood, and hurricanes (odd, I know, but one can't help it when one lives near the coast).

My favorite types of books are memoirs, with my favorite being Teacher Man by Frank McCourt. Little Women is another favorite; though it isn't technically a memoir, it is based loosely off Louisa May Alcott's life. I also love children's books (my favorite is Yertle the Turtle and Other Stories by Dr. Suess).

Photography is something I have had an interest in for years, but I am just now starting to cultivate this interest. I hope that my photographs bring a sense of real life, joy, or sweet simplicity to those that happen to stumble across them.
