"Digital cameras allow the amateur photographer the freedom and ability to take six thousand pictures of a baby. Babies should not be photographed in the first place. They never grow up to look anything like they did as a baby, so what’s the point in having a picture of them? You might as well take photos of a small pony because that’s about as close a resemblance as babies have to their future selves and ponies are at least attractive creatures. "I got to know Ange through Fengschwing, and it's interesting (the good kind) that they have such different kinds of photo and styles, and yet there's a common thread between them (not JUST pictures of pickleblog!).
Her photos are a fantastic portrayal of the ups and downs of family life, the honesty and creativity they display (particularly in the self-portraits for the 365 project) are a testament to her skills as a photographer and artist.
If I had one criticism of her photos, it would be that they make me want to spend EVEN MORE time on flickr, and out taking photos... And should the niddlers be blessed with children, we're definitely going to think up cool flickr names for them."14th April, 2007
