My name's Andy and in September 2006 I visited the Dominican Republic with a UK charity called Mission Direct. I went with a team of six to help with a building project that provides 'decent' homes for both Dominicans and refugees from Haiti who current live in what can only be described as 'slums'. These people are without even the most basic things in life like water, food and medication.

These photos were posted to allow folks back home to keep updated about the trip while I was there and to help me share something of the plight of these people when I returned.
