Hi! My name is Andrea James.
I am a writer and activist based in Los Angeles. I also run a production company called Deep Stealth Productions with my friend Calpernia Addams.
In 2007 I directed a short film called "Casting Pearls," airing on Logo as part of Season 4 of The Click List: Best in Short Film. You can watch and rate it free online if you are interested.
In 2008 I was a consulting producer and had an on-camera role in Transamerican Love Story, a competitive dating series. In 2009, I directed and appeared in the short comedy Transproofed.
I coached Felicity Huffman for her role in Transamerica and appear at the very beginning of the film. I am also in the HBO documentary Middle Sexes and a Logo documentary about our involvement in V-Day with Eve Ensler and Jane Fonda called Beautiful Daughters. I also run several websites on consumer issues, and I am a proud affiliate of Quackwatch.
