The vast majority of photos here are from the two years I spent teaching English on the JET Programme in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan from July 2005 to July 2007. Photography became my primary visual outlet while I was abroad, which explains the 3200 photos I took while there.

I enjoy photography, though I know I'm not an expert and don't claim to be. All my Japan photos were taken with a 4.1 megapixel Sony CyberShot that's been knocked around a bit, so be gentle. Currently I'm using a 7.1 megapixel Canon PowerShot that I'm treating a lot more carefully.
