I'm an artist. I studied Communication Arts and Illustration at Moore College of Art & Design, in Philadelphia, earning my BFA in 2001,and I work in any medium which inspires me. Currently, I am concentrating on portraiture and various sewn projects.

Music is my first love and my muse...I don't make it, I just listen and sing along. My musical tastes cover a wide and varied range, and I always have something on when I am working.

From October 2002 till March 2008, I lived in Melbourne, Australia. It is just as much "home" to me as Pennsylvania has ever been. I still get mean pangs of homesickness, but plan to visit again, when possible. Much of the time there I didn't own a camera, but flickr helps me find bits and pieces of that world.

In my life, I have dealt with both bipolar disorder and breast cancer. I am glad to report that I am happy and healthy, managing both illnesses successfully, and am happy to talk frankly to anyone about either subject.

I am a fan of being ridiculous and silly and stirring the pot.

    StoneWheel says:

"Amy is our own Clarice Starling of Flickrwood. She is strength. She is assertive self. She captures the spirit of self assuredness, uses her intelligence, art, and wit to confront not only combative commenters (who are her friends) here on Flickr, but also in the mostly private and real struggles of her personal life. I feel honored to know her, even through the special glimpses allowed here."

"Amy is an amazing artist with a wickedly good sense of humor. She surrounds herself with beauty, hopping from one exotic beautiful abode to the next, while tropical kookaburra parakeet types of birds flutter about her all the time, as if she is some particularly adventuresome version of Snow White.

What really knocks my socks off about Amy, though, is that she manages to do ALL THIS--parakeet birds and all--while still doing a truly inspiring job heading up the International Foreigner Fan Club (Australia chapter). I mean, wow. I've never heard "Cold As Ice" the same way since listening to Amy's impassioned speech about the Foreigner philosophy that time in Melbourne. It was a life-changing moment for me. This is the woman I've got to partner with. With Amy's tireless devotion and sensitivity to the true musical legends of our era, I know together we can bring the divine Ms. Deborah Gibson back from the brink, to the very epicenter of super-stardom."
