Amy grew up in Anchorage, Alaska. She resides with her husband Zach in Atlanta, Georgia. She is now in her tenth year of teaching high school students at the Lovett School. Previously Amy taught for three years at Ursuline Academy in New Orleans, Louisiana while pursuing her Masters in Education at Loyola University. This degree compliments her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tulane University. She also leads summer study abroad programs to Savannah, Italy and France.

Amy Lee Story works in all media including painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, and photography. Amy’s pieces are narrative in nature. Through the use of layers and formal composition, they each tell a story. Amy is inspired by folklore, her dreams, and by her travels. Common themes found in her work include imagination, youth, nature, and iconography. Each of Amy’s pieces exists as a glimpse into her unique point of view.
