I love photography. I also love to write incessantly about being a mom and taking pictures. (My talented husband designed both of those blogs, btw. I love me a man with mad skills.)

All photos before mid-May 2007 were taken with my trusty side-kick Canon PowerShot SD110. All photos until April 2010 were taken with a Nikon D40X. I am currently using my new love, a beautiful Nikon D300. I also sometimes use a Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Flash.

The scoop:
As I am totally an amateur photographer, I love and appreciate all comments. Please know that I go to every profile and stream of anyone who comments or faves any of my photos (and I'll pretty much always comment back!). But also know that if you fave a photo or add me as a contact and you have no profile or photos available (or have a bunch of sick photos fave'd), I will most likely block you. I'm sorry, but I just don't want that kind of attention. I show photos of my kids in my stream, and I'm still debating about going Friends and Family. But for now I'll keep my faith in humanity and stay viewable to all. Thanks for being cool.

Oh, and all of my images are completely owned by me. Please do not use them for any reason. If you are interested in a particular image, by all means contact me and I will gladly try to work something out with you.

"Although she calls herself an amateur, Amy's work speaks for itself. She has an amazing eye for detail and a wonderful gift for capturing those small moments every parent treasures. Her work continuously inspires me to try new things and stretch my imagination when it comes to how I photograph. She not only shares her photographs, but takes the time to share her techniques and tips so others can learn and improve. Thank you Amy and keep up the good work!"
