Life
I'm paring down my contact list a little there is no way I have enough time to do the job right and view all my contact photos, and comment too. Please don't take it personally and if you find you want to delete me as a contact, I won't take it personally either.

I've been fortunate in love (several times!), and fortunate in life too. My husband is my best friend, and our life together is sweet. Mostly homebodies, but we also travel quite a bit, both domestically and in Europe. My job takes me many places in the US. My husband is Italian so we travel to Italy periodically to see his family. I've really enjoyed getting to know a little bit of northern Italy, and the melodic language is slowly (very slowly) becoming intelligible.

Equipment
I've been taking photos for a lot of years now... my first camera was an Instamatic - I saved for months for it! No idea where that one is now. Next I think was a Canon ftb bought in the mid-70's, which I used until it crashed onto it's back in around 1998t. A Canon Eos Elan followed and then I moved into digital with the Nikon Coolpix 4500 in 2003. We still use that one occasionally and I have a Nikon Coolpix 8800 in the stable, and a Kodak V570 in my purse. My newest toy is a Nikon D40x with Sigma 18-200mm DC OS HSM lens.

a little commercial note
Some of my photos have been accepted for publication or commercial use on the microstock site Dreamstime, www.dreamstime.com/amyemilia_info . I would be very pleased if you checked it out!

"AmyEmilia's ravishing collection of Italy sets is one of the most beautiful of Italian travel logs that I have seen in years! So rich in well-observed and engaging details, revealing a sharp and witty eye, and a glorious feel for color and light.

A lively and humorous personality shines through her work, radiating a sense of exuberant well-being. And I admire her keen photographic eye and visual intelligence.

AmyEmilia is quite the lady! Hats off to her. Respectfully, John Walford, December 2007"
