My camera is with me wherever I go. I found out that you never know when you're going to see a zebra.

UPDATE:

I still have my camera with me most of the time, but my flickring has taken an extreme backseat to painting. I've had some success selling them at local arts and crafts shows and some local galleries.

I'm a member of In-Town Gallery, a 35-year old artists' co-op gallery in Chattanooga, TN.

No soy hablante nativo, pero hablo el español de México, donde siempre queda un pedacito del corazón.

"Amiko is a rare creature. He embodies life, warmth, a genuine spirit, playfulness, culture and a zest for life. His photos capture all of these qualities and more.

I make my way around Flickr every so often but I always have to make and take my time to visit his part of it all. It's always a treat and very inspiring.

I can't wait to see where he takes me next on his visual journey."

"Amiko's photos are always interesting, often inspiring and sometimes inspirational. Whether he's tempting us to make wonderful food, taking fun, funny photos of his furry friends or rolling around in bed with us all as observers, Amiko's Flickr stream is always a great place to be."

"The man is just lovely. Amiko's inspirational photographs are excellent. The self portrait work is artistic, varied and full of humour, three excellent qualities in my mind. The captures from his many travels always introduce something of wonder - the heat and colour from the Maltese Luzzas make me drool, the drama of the Canada rail images make me shiver. He presents places I've never seen in a way that makes me want to get there myself. That makes them successful images. The 'Hooligans' and the watergarden are joyus photos, giving me much pleasure. I spend much time here, yet still there are images I've yet to view. He is always a delightful, encouraging flickrfriend, who I wish I knew personally. Those that do are the lucky ones. I think I plopped into this stream via a required 'comment-on-the photo-to-your-right' type group. And am I happy he was next in the Pool!

He has talent, humour and charm. He is often on my mind. I think I'm in love."

"It all started on May 18, 2006. Paul posted a beautiful photo titled "Bead Girl". Later that month came iced tea and the rear end of a toad (you should really check this one out...). That got me hooked on his photos, and I'm happy to count him among my friends.

Paul is a funny, original, sensitive and always surprising photographer and friend. One day we'll have a beer together. Until then, I enjoy his cyber-company."

"Amiko is both such a creative and gentle person. I look forward to his work perhaps more than anyone on flickr. Whismy, with a certain existential sensibility. It always brings a smile to my face and reminds me that one of the things I enjoy most in a person is a sense of playful curiosity."

"When I first discovered flickr, I was more an observer, than participant. But, there was one person whose photos always kept me coming back...Amiko's.

Who else could take the death of a camera and make it a visual celebration? flickr.com/photos...

Whether it was his enticing travel photos, his obvious love for animals, or his great eye for capturing a beautiful moment (or place) in time...he had me hooked.

Always patient when I asked questions about his techniques, and graciously answering my pesty emails, he gave me confidence to jump into flickr with both feet.

Now I am overwhelmed to be able to call him my mentor, my tutor, and best of all my friend.

    Thank you Amiko!
    Thank you flickr!"
