CUPCAKE CAFE NOW OPEN at 224 The Parade, Norwood South Australia. We are open Tuesday - Sat 10am - 9pm and Sunday 12pm - 8.30pm. We offer up to 26 flavours of cupcakes which we rotate through out the day, we make fresh in our kitchen on the premises and we also bake for special occassions by ordering 3 days in advance. We sell coffee, exotic teas, milkshakes, ice cream sodas, filled bagels, American Style Hot Dogs, fudge, peanut butter cups, ice cream cupcakes and light evening meals (wedges, nachos and salads). We started a cupcake business called American Candy Stand back in 2006; we have a market stall in the city of Adelaide, Australia called the Rundle Street Markets two Sunday's a month 9am - 4pm. I have always loved baking and enjoyed seeing people enjoy my food. My grandmother taught me to cook, she used to run a catering business back in the 60's and 70's. I remember sitting on her kitchen table watching and waiting to lick the spoon from her delicious creations, so I feel have learnt from the best. I started many years ago making my grandmothers homemade fudge for friends and family when we decided that this could be something we could build a business on. We looked at flavour inspirations to offer Australian customers something different and while doing research on the internet I found myself very inspired by the American flavours, they are so exciting to the palate. Australians don't mix peanut butter and chocolate together. I love meeting new people and sharing my excitement of making cupcakes and my whole family gets involved so it's been great to build special relationships with my husband and children while we work together.
